If it wasn't for you Ewa - part 8

GENERATION ONE - CHAPTER EIGHT

It's a lovely family, isn't it? It's a petty George couldn't come to Emil's graduation, but he had a very important match out of town that day. Let's see up close how everybody is doing.

Göran is the little one, loved by all of his siblings and quite spoiled by his parents. I guess that is a common thing for the youngest child in a family.

But actually he is a big boy now. Sleeps on the top bed and everything.

The youngest girl, Lotta, always had a special sparkle around her.

She is very special, and nobody understand where her artistic side comes from. Most of her family don't feel that art is "their thing". And some actually hates it. But they still gave her an easel for her birthday, which she uses every day.

Karin was very special too, in a somewhat strange and odd way. Always creative and curios, and admired by her peers.

Who would think that this nerdy girl should grow up to be such a beauty?

Bosse on the other hand, had always been a bit on the background compared with his more strong personality siblings.

But in his late teens he made himself noticed, he had great success as a sailor and snowboarder (and with mom as his personal coach). And look who is popular amongst the (older) girls!

And then we have Britta - we will get back to her....  ;)

Emil had some problems with his bad attitude girlfriend Bente and dumped her, as I'm sure you remember.

But it didn't take him long to hook up with Ingrid, a really sweet girl. They married after just a few months - a very romantic and very private seremony, from what I've heard.

Georg found a piece of land up by the lake, and built a beautiful house for himself and his family.

He and his wife Linda just loves to entertain and invites everybody as often as they can.

But most of their attention nowadays goes to Birte, a sweet but rather demanding little girl - and Ewas first grandchild. A new era has begun!

---

Well a new era did begin, but unfortunately this is were the story ends. At least the official one!

If it wasn't for you Ewa - part 7

GENERATION ONE - CHAPTER SEVEN

Being middle-aged and the mother of seven has its challenges.

But it has its advantages too, the older siblings helps out with the smaller ones, like Bosse with Göran here.

Britta just love to be around the toddlers, and wants to work with children when she grows up.

Georg has now moved out, but is visiting almost every day. He loves to tease the small ones, - and his mothers cooking to be honest.

But he is getting a life on his own now, and seems to be in a serious relationship with Linda, a single mom working at Georg's favorite diner.

As you can understand Georg is not much of a cook, except when he can do it outdoors. He loves outdoor living, and has introduced Linda to the pleasures of sleeping outside.

In my opinion it wont be long until they will start their own family.

Emil is also experiencing great success among women. Here with Bente Brandal, whom he asked to go to the prom.

The night was awkward from the beginning, since Britta disliked Bente to put it mildly, and the silence in the car as they were waiting for Bosse (as usual!) was total. A few days after the romance was over. "She was mean", Emil said, but he never explained the details to anyone. Just as well, there is no point in dwelling with the past.

Unless you share a really good past, like Ewa and Geir.
"You are still the most beautiful woman in the word!", Geir said affectionately.
"It's not that bad getting older actually!", Ewa thought.

If it wasn't for you Ewa - part 6

GENERATION ONE - CHAPTER SIX

"Oh Dear God", Ewa said, "I will not be able to get back to work just yet, will I? It don't know if it is a blessing or a curse..."

Blessing or not - little Lotta was born just a few days before Georg's graduation. The Bindals were now a big family with six children.

Even though the finances were quite limited, they managed to send Georg to university.

"I'm working very hard!", he said, "Don't worry mum!"
"Well," she said, "I'm not that old. I remember what uni is like. Have fun, but make sure you pass your exams!"

And he did. But he also made a lot of new friends, and they were all very sad to see him go after two years.

Back home some of his siblings had taken up diving as a hobby.

While others were more interested in dating.

Little Lotta was almost two years old by now, and Bosse almost seventeen.

And Ewa? Well she was pregnant again. "Who gets pregnant at 49?!", she thought, "It truly is a miracle..."

And little Göran was a little miracle. Like all babies are. But for Ewa it had been a hard pregnancy. When Georg came home from uni he realized that his mum was getting older.

If it wasn't for you Ewa - part 5

GENERATION ONE - CHAPTER FIVE

Ewa's little experiment worked of course. Geir sold his beloved car, and borrowed the rest of the downpayment from some friends. Soon they were on the move, and Ewa was thrilled.

The new house was still small, but had potential. During the summer they put an extra floor in.

The kids were growing too. There were now three teenagers in the house! Georg (in bed), Emil and Britta.

After some months little Karin was born, and everybody was happy. But Geir was a bit thoughtful. He had something on his mind.

He went to check out another house. Bigger, and with a huge garden.

"I have a job-offer", he said, "including a new and more comfortable house"
"Great!", the kids said, "Can we have our own rooms?"
"But it means we have to move from Aurora Skies."
"What!?? I'm NOT moving!!

But of course Emil was, as they all did. Soon they said farewell to the beautiful scenery of Aurora Skies.

Ewa and Geir were expecting some problems in the beginning. But the whole family loved the new house.

The kids settled down quite well, and found new friends and activities.

And when Karin celebrated her first birthday, she was the natural center of attention. They all loved that funny face!
"At last I can relax a bit and concentrate on other parts of life", Ewa thought to herself. "I love my kids, but now at the age of 46 I am so excited to go back to work!"
But you know the saying: "How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!"

If it wasn't for you Ewa - part 4

GENERATION ONE - CHAPTER FOUR

The little red house was as cute as could be. On the outside.

Inside there were a lot of problems. Like not enough hot water.

Constantly clogged pipes.

"I've had it with this house!", Ewa groaned. "I'm so tired of having to fix everything all the time!"

Geir knew she was right. He was tired of it too. But they simply didn't have enough money for a new house.

"Okay", Ewa thought to herself, "by the time the new little one is born, I'm sure we'll be able to get out of here."

But she was wrong. Bosse was born, and they were still in the little red house.

And then Karin was born. The situation was intolerable.

"I can't do this anymore", she said.
"What do you want me to say?", he said.

"I want you to stay home alone for three whole days with five, small kids in this small place". Ewa said. "And if you after that tell me that we can't find the money for a new house, I will accept it. But only then. And by the way: I'm pregnant again."
