Shocking behaviour!

Strange things are happening in the area, and one of the strangest was the sight of an almost naked woman riding through our village. As it turned out it was young Belinda Zidler who tried to attract attention to herself and Circus Anno, which has settled in the outskirts of town. And she certainly accomplished that!

Shocking hair!

Dr Haydock has seen some shocking looks in his life, but was truly puzzled last night when seeing the new barman for the first time. “I wouldn’t be more surprised if I saw a green man”, Dr Haydock states.

The barman himself, Chris Little, is surprised of the stir his hair has made. “In London this is an everyday matter”, he claims, and he is supported in this by Mrs.Jamiesson. “I’m fully aware of the Teddyboy-style”, she says, “but new doesn’t necessarily mean elegant”.

Dr. Haydock, who has a quite distinctive haircut himself if we might say so, had to turn to hard liquor to get over the shock.

Romance is profitable

The last few weeks there has been a significant rise in the turnover at the flower shop. Mrs. Spenlow tells us that increase is 20 % compared with the same period last year. One of the reasons is said to be our own Colonel Protheroe, who is courting Miss Adams. Will there be a wedding in St. Mary Mead soon?

A winning team

The local team of domino players is in hard training for the Double Nine competition to take place in Market Basing next month.  The team consist of Dr. Haydock, Mr Haymes, Mrs Lestrange, Miss Marple, Mrs. Price Ridley and Mr. Babcock. (Mrs. Price Ridley and Mr Babcock were not present on the occasion when the photo was taken.) We believe that several have good winning chances, and we encourage all villagers to meet up to support and cheer for them, but not so loud that it interferes with the game!

Puppy love

Mrs. Lestrange was literally shocked when she found a helpless puppy left in her garbage can a few days ago. "I fear that this was no mistake, but that it was left there to die a slow and painful death. It is so unbelievably cruel!"

Cruelty against animals are never taken lightly in St. Mary Mead, and the Police have sought help from Miss Marple to solve the case, and ask possible witnesses to come forward.

Nevertheless, this time it ended well, as Mrs. Lestrange decided to adopt the little puppy, and gave it the name Destiny, a very appropriate name.

No pain, no gain

In last weeks edition we reported on Miss Weatherby's amazing weight loss, and one of the notorious paparazzies have shared with us a photo from the work out. When asked why he didn't publish the photo earlier, the paparazzi says that "I felt bad revealing Miss Weatherby in such a vulnerable position". The most surprising thing in this story, if we might add, is not the weight loss of Miss Weatherby, but that there is such a thing as a decent paparazzi.

Major art

Mr. Redding's series of small watercolors are increasingly popular, but the artist haven't been able to work on large canvas, due to storage problems at his home.

Mr. Redding is confident that he will be able to make even better paintings, now that he has an agreement with the vicar of using his tool shed as an art studio. We can look forward to great art! And if not great, at least it will be larger.

Double vision

The vicar was sure something was wrong with his eyes the other day, when he Miss Hartnell introduced him to ... Miss Hartnell! "Everybody thinks we are twin sisters, but in fact she is my cousin, Miss Amanda Hartnell explains. Miss Margareth Hartnell is to the left. (Or right)

"It stinks!"

"It is basically a scandal", an outraged Mr Giles argues, "and nobody takes responsibility!" Dog owners in St. Mary Mead filed a complaint to the Mayor yesterday, for the lack of parks in the center of the village. After the latest building boom asphalt has taken over the village completely, leaving the dog owners in a desperate situation. Not to mention the dogs!

Both of them had an attitude

And the result was not pretty

"Get out!", he screamed at her "and if you promise you'll never come back, I will give you a gilt-edged deal. Take it or leave it"

Estelle went to the church to get some advice

And she realized she had no choice

So she left St. Mary Mead

And her little sweetheart had nothing but a few memories about her mother

She was inconsolable.

What happend? Well, you see...

His grumpyness became unbearable.

It gave her a migraine, and after some time she decided it couldn't continue like this.

So to get her mind off things she started traveling to exotic places

Meeting interesting people

Really interesting...

She enjoyed herself

And as you can imagine, in the end she enjoyed herself a little too much.

Rumors travel fast, and they reached her husband. He was not happy, to put it mildly.

The Mysterious Mrs. Estelle Lestrange 1:3

Mrs. Lestrange is settling in just fine in her little cottage. But she carries a heavy secret, and the memories hunts her.

She met a man.

Fell in love with him

And for a while they were both happy

And even more so, when they had a little daughter

Estelle loved her dearly

And so did her father. But towards Estelle, he wasn't much affectionate, and that was when the problems started. Go to part 2
